Today we travelled up to Middleton-On-Tees to have a walk about and go and visit the High Force Waterfall up north of the village. The waterfall only recently came to my attention along with Low Force further downstream. The walk down to the falls has some cool features too as shown here The waterfall is Britians highest but isn't any Angel Falls by any means. It is however quite impressive and an essential sight to see in the Tees Valley area of North England as shown here It costs £1.50 to get onto the public trail which leads to the base of the waterfall and £1.00 to park you car at the car park up the path. There is a pub just by the entrance if you are thirsty or need the toilet, which we did. It was early afternoon when we arrived and the place was not exactly heaving which was ideal, better chances to take photos and a place to view the fall from Getting there was fairly straightforward and the walks in the Tees area have always been very enjoyable especially in the summer when the winds are light and the hikers are out in force If you are feeling adventureous you can walk to Low Force but the main attraction is here.
