One of the most fascinating places I've ever visited. It's a monolith mesa rising out of the plains. Must look up the full story and enter it here. Hungry for kingly power a man killed his brother then built this strong hold on the flat top with water catchments, etc. The climb up was a bit dicey. Magnificent cave painting of Aspiri ?? along the way. Some good photos. don't miss it if you visit Sri Lanka.
