Where I stayed
LA Adventurer Hotel
I have been back in USA now foralittle over a month after traveling Europe and Asia for the previous 15 months.
No clear plan for the future has yet emerged. Having sold my h0use in Yonkers, NY in Nov 07 I am still homeless. Though not penniless, I must be careful about my expenditures -- which limits options.
I have grown tired of traveling and don't kinow when or whether Iwill get remotivated.
Reluctantly I skipped Korea and Japan when a retina eye problem occured in Hanoi. This made me decide to return to USA. [There was no retina detachment and the eye should clear up completely soon says the retina eye specialist.]
Previous entries in this blog sketch my journies from place to place.
Over all the travels havebeen enjoyble. No negative incidents anywhere. Met many pleasant people along the way and some memorable experiences. Still in touch by e mail with a number of freiends and acquanintences made enroute.
Was particularly impressedwith Germany and china. Would have liked to spend more time in Russia but the restricted travel.
Would appreciate hearing from any of you with comments or questions.

How 'bout Tennessee?
Hello! I haven't checked your blog in some bit and am glad to see you're back in the States.....why don't you mosey on over/down to TN.....Mark is looking for someone to 'house sit' a house on one of his farms.....I've also got an RV you could plug up.....winters in TN are not all that unpleasant.....of course, you might find our rural life a bit slow for your taste.....but it could be a nice change while you collect your thoughts.....give me a holler if you're still needing a place to settle for a bit....laters, Linda
Detached retina?
Did you try kick-boxing in Hanoi? Bungee jumping?
I thought we would never hear from you again once you got to Hanoi.
