Not just unhelpful, rude but out right nasty agents at Rail Road tix windows. Decided to leave without staying in Romania. Took train to Timosaura. Beginning of royal screwups, misconceptions, misinformation etc.
Abandoned in Samosora. Five km hike with 20 kg pack in 39o C heat. Crazy gas station owner. Threw me out of his snack shop, xenophobic paranoid, ?? then hands me small bottle of water.
Stumble into border crossing area. Friendly guards see my distress. Give me bottles of water ask German with wife and daughter to give me a ride. which he did mpst graciously, going out of his way, asking directions to train station in Vrask.
No trains to Belgrad till next day. Eventually get bus to Belgrad.
