So the day dawned and off i went to work in the vineyards as normal..!  Later that evening called around to the backpackers of Cecile and Nacho and gang to hang out with them both before they were to leave Blenheim.. Cecile to go work in Akaroa (the french settlement town about an hours drive from Christchurch that is in a beautiful bay surrounded by mtns), and Nacho to head south to Wanaka for work there..

As it turns out we stayed up talking all night!  Had a great laugh, and just about a half hour to an hour before sunrise we decided to get out into the mountains to get a good view of it!  So i drove out past the Seddon mtn range... well, into the back of it, near to Tui Downs (where one of the main vineyards i worked on was located) and myself and Cecile climbed up this steep side of a mtn to see it!  (Cheated slightly as we didnt have to climb from base! :P Pulled into a little spot of the mtn road and hopped a gate / fence!)  Was stunning, thou quite fukn windy up there!   The mountains looked mental in the mad colours caused from the sun rising!!  Nacho was conked out in the van, and when we got back woke up.

So after that it was down to the main highway south, to drop off Nacho - he was hitching his way south.. Sad to say goodbye to him..

Following that it was into town to drop of Cecile, who was also heading on the road.. First though we stopped at the market in the town centre, that would be on every saturday morning!  Cheap fruit and veg etc and lotsa other random stuff for sale!

Anyway, back to the backpackers then where I then bid farwell to Cecile also.. Two good friends leaving in the same day!

Following that it was home to get a bit of sleep before my brother Marc was to arrive as I knew we'd have at least a few drinks to sink..! and lots of catching up to do also!!
