Today was one of the best days we have had so far! Our first activity was a visit to Oxford Castle, in which we had a private tour (we were the only ones there). It was very interesting as the castle was used for a prison up until 1996. We climbed to the top of the tower and had the most amazing view of Oxford.
We weren't exactly sure what to do next, then Ella suggested that we go to Blenheim Palace, which turned out to be the best decision ever! The palace is the home to the Duke of Malborough and is the house of our dreams!! The stately rooms are decorated with beautiful furniture and large tapestry's and paintings. We then explored the gardens which were very picture-esque. We spent the afternoon lazing about in the gardens. We then successfully completed the 2nd largest hedge maze in the world!! We really enjoyed ourselves at Blenheim Palace, through leaving the palace was not so quite successful. We managed to walk to an exit that was closed and therefore had to walk to the right exit and all the way back round to the bus stop, which ended up taking another 40mins :(
Even though we were so tired, we had no desire to stay within the youth hostel so again to the resturants of Oxford!
