After leaving Etosha, we headed over to a place whose name I can't remember to Cheetah park. The highlight here was not only the bar which had various elephant appendages hanging from the walls, but the tame cheetahs we were able to pet. Despite having msug moment of 'we've already done this in Nairobi' these cheetah were much larger than the little one we had petted, so it was still brilliant. Basically these three tame cheetahs lived up at the park owner's house like domestic cats, and mixed with the house dog, a little jack russell who was either very cocky or plain stupid as she liked to torment the cheetah despite nearly being eaten numerous times.
After playing a bit with the cheetahs and watching them eat (not the dog, other chunks of meat) we headed over the the reserve wherer they kept the wild cheetah and we watched the feeding of these. They were amazing at catching the meat when it was thrown to them, and you could appreciate their speed a little as they ran off with the food to eat it in privacy.
We then just had an evening of playign pool in the bar which was fun, before an early morning to go off to Spitzkoppe.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ANDREW, WHO IS 18!!!!!!!
