hEY ALL,
Sorry it has taken me a while for my next update, but it has been a crazy couple of weeks.
Okay, so I last left you just before I got to Phi Phi. Well I absolutely loved Phi Phi. It was really buzzy and busy and I had an awesome time there. I didnt really want to leave! I spent 4 days on the beach chilling out in the day and living it up large in the evenings. I was planning to stay there longer, but I bumped into the lovely Christa and Megan from Canada and decided to travel to the North with them. Met a few nice boys in phi Phi. There was another funny beach story, lol!!!!
Me and the girls had the most hectic journey to Chang Mai!!! So we left Phi phi at 2 and we arrived in Bangkok the next morning at 5.30. It was so hot! Our train didnt leave until 2.30, so we had a bit of time to kill. We went for an amazing massage for hour and half and then we got to the station ...early. Only to find out that we should have picked ou tickets up in Krabi! (which was 12 hours away). There was a big who ha for quite a while and we then had to get a refund on our tickets and get the 7.20 train! Nightmare. At about 6.50, we gathered our stuff to walk to the platform. We got on the train and asked the train man where our seats were and then the train started moving. We were on the wrong train!!!!!! Ahhh! Pure panic! I was pressing buttons to open the doors and me and Megan were ready to jump, but some locals pulled us back. We got off at the next stop and our train thankfully stopped to pick us up! Jokes!!
We finally got to Chang Mai and stayed in a really cool hostel called Julies. We were really tired when we got there, but we decided to rent mopeds out. The girls had alredy been outon them; but this was my first time. It was somuch fun. It took us about 45 mins just to find the gas station and then we lost megan and me and Christa spent the next hour and half lost around the city. We then paid a tuk tuk to drive us back to our hostal where megan was waiting for us. After a quick sit down, we headed back out into the madness to find the saturday night market. There were somany stalls, it just seemed to go on for miles.
The next morning, we went out on the mopeds in search for some culture and we stumled upon to beautiful temples. We then raced back, as we were being picked up for our flight of the gibbon experience in the jungle. We were basically swinging through the jungle onjip lines. It was so much fun!! I did pee my pants a bit on the first one!!! We then got taken to a beautiful waterfall and had an amazing dinner.
The next day we wereup bright and early for our day of treking. In the morning, they took us to a butterfly and orchid farm and then onto see some local tribes. This was reallycool. We also paid extra to see the longneck hill tribes. Check out what the women wear around their necks! We tried it on; was not comfortable! Can you imagine having sex with that on!!!!! Then we got taken on an elephant ride which was amzing!!!! The 3 of us went on the same elephant, so I got to sit on the elephants head! His big ears were just flapping by my feet!!! We got a longer ride than everyone else, as our elephant just kept stopping!!!
We then went white water rafting which was pretty cool! The rapids werent too fierce, so we didnt fall out!! did get pretty wet though!!! We then went bamboo rafting which was really slow and pretty cold, as the sun had gone in!!
Our last day in Chang Mai we hired out mopeds again with 2 english guys that we met thenight before! We went to the top of the city to see WHat Phra That Doi Suthep, which was an awesome temple with a great view of the city! It was touch and go for a while, as it was really windy roads and Im not the best at turning corners. We got blessed by a monk, and got given a bracelet which was cool! We then headed back down the windy roads and found our own private pool to lay by for the afternoon! was very lavish!
Me and the girls then headed further North to Pai. It was realy chilled and the scenery was absolutely stunning. We had a fun night drinking around a fire in the only bar that stayed opened late. The next day we just chilled in the sun and decided to make our way to Lous!!!
