Well. Today was a bit lower key than the last few days had been. We slept in till 8:30a.m. or so and had breakfast at either Mister Donut or the Bakery and headed to Fujisawa to get on the Enoden,an old train, to go to Kamakura. Our first stop was the ocean. There is a nice beach with a look out on a hill that we went too. Jess put her feet in the ocean for the first time. Some of the sand was black due to all of the basalt. After the ocean, we headed for Hase to see the Daibatsu, Buddha. Sagoi desu ne! Cool, right!
We shopped a bit on the way to a temple,Hasedera. This temple has tons of flowers and cherry blossoms. Jess and Adam had sweet potato ice cream and I had cassis gelato, but mine was really tart.
We met an older couple from the States on the train on the way back. They are from Virginia Beach. THe man use to be in the military,so they were staying at Zama. They were fun to talk too.
We had dinner with Maki tonight. We were going to go to Chuorinkan for Okonomiyaki, but the wait was an hour and a half. So, we decided to do Yakiniku at Tsuruma instead. We ate so much though. We had a tabehoudai, all you can eat, for 2000 yen each. We ordered like 3 big plates of meat and other things. We tried intestine, cartilage, heart and tongue. I tried all of them but the intestine. I couldn`t do it. We had a good time.
