Well..sorry it has been awhile since I have updated my pics. Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone! Make sure you wear Green or you might get pinched. And Happy Birthday to my sister, Sarah.
I went to a St. Patrick's Parade in Yokohama on Motomachi Street, a big shopping street and close to Chinatown with Aya, a recent graduate from Yamato Nishi. Aya lived in Indiana last year so she brought some festive hats for the occasion and we caught a lot of eyes with them. We had our pictures taken several times by photographers. Aya brought sunglasses in case it was sunny and to hide herself if the stares get too annoying. We ended up putting them on. For lunch, we ran into a grocery store and bought a few things. I was really excited when I saw that the store carried ROOT BEER and Coke and CHerry Coke. But, for some reason, Root Beer was what I wanted. I also ate a German dish, potatoes and ham. Oishikatta desu (It was delicious) WE were able to finish eating just before the parade started. After the parade, we wondered into Chinatown and looked around. I have had a craving for Bubble Tea, so I had some there. OH Bubble Island! We also went into an Indian store that had an area where you could make your own necklace out of beads. So, we worked on our necklaces for a bit. Then, we wondered through the baseball stadium and ran into the "Bay Stars" mascots. We hung out by Yamashita Park by the bay and then we were wasting time before headed back so we went to an arcade to get the panikura (sticker pictures) and went on a carnival ride - similar to the Witches Wheel. Aya was really nervous about going upside down. It wasn't too bad. I had dinner at Aya's house. It was really yummy. It was a bit late so Aya and her parents let me sleep over. I slept in Aya's younger sister's room, her sister went to Costa Rica for a year, and her sister's dog, Buddy, slept with me. Sorry, Holly and Ivy. I still love you guys. It was nice to sleep with a dog though. Sunday, I had lunch with Aya and Sakumi, another student from Yamato Nishi. THen I rode my Mamma Cherry around a bit cause it was such a nice day, went to the pool and made dinner. Now for the pictures.
