Now I am in Ireland to experience the country - but never did I think I would do so literally. My new home, Castlebar in county Mayo is a little country town where the cows are never far away! Seriously though, my home is an easy 10 minute walk to the town centre and I can always smell cows!
Now I must say it isnt the smallest town I have ever lived in - really, Proserpine was the smallest, Castlebar is not far off, but it is a LOT further away from Airlie Beach!

I have a good job in a private practice here starting each day at 1:30! My first delve into the world of non hospital work - it is great!

And for the first time since leaving Cairns I have a bedroom to myself! How exciting! It has only been 6 months of sharing a room. I have a big, comfy double bed in a lovely little house with great housemates (Candice, you are still my fav!) all for 50 euro a week!

Hasnt been easy making this move though. Is bit tough, being so far from family and friends at home (luckily Dan is easily on the phone in Dublin). I had just established myself in Galway when I had to move on to Co. Mayo with a new job - and the day before starting work - no home and no friends. It is a good experience though. Luckily Galway is not far away - only 1-2hrs on the bus. So weekends in the big city are on the cards!

Exterior wall insulation on

For the bit of craic in castlebar try out Johnny Mchale's pub. The only pub where the young and old enjoy.
