Where I stayed
Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines...and they're off!
Cattle (Qatar) Airways via Doha to Bangkok for 2 nights to catch our breath and beat the jetlag. Our spot at Lamphu Treehouse Guesthouse put us in close walking distance to Khao San Road, the river ferry, and a favourite of ours from our previous trip: May Kaidees Vegetarian Restaurant. Little to report over the past two days besides enjoying *real* Thai food and hospitality. Mel fully capitalised on the food with a triple-whammy of breakfast, lunch and supper of Tom Yum soup, she’s starting to look like a Goon (Prawn).
Tomorrow morning we depart Bangkok for Hong Kong where we are staying with a South African friend who lives and works there.
Our blog this year will be featuring 2 changes to keep things fresh:
1. Brevity is the name of the game to both save us time typing it up, and you time wading through our ramblings.
2. Each blog entry will conclude with a Highlight, Lowlight and Lesson Learnt.. starting with Bangkok's:
Spirit Rise: Being back in the land of smiles.
Stilstuiper Moment: Our old kniving friends, the tuk-tuk drivers
Confucius Say: Just because the locals like the taste doesn't mean you will too...

Comments
Hello!! I am starting at the beginning and following all the blog entries!
I like the brevity decision and highlight/lowlight/lesson learnt :)
Looking forward to starting the journey from the comfort (and quietness) of my home :p
