What I did
Drove around, stopped for dinner
The day we went to Dubuque was a very interesting day because of some of the local attractions. The first of these was a giantic sculpture of "American Gopthic" outside the art museum. In the center of town there was a random clock tower that Mom & Dad seemed very interested in. For dinner, we stopped at a nice Italian restaurant called The Crust. Here's Moms' thoughts:
Mom's Corner
Dubuque was a cute little city from what we saw. The sculptural interpretation of "American Gothic" was really cool. The reference was lost on the kids, who were more scared than impressed by it, but I loved it. Our dinner at The Crust was probably our only nice restaurant dinner on the whole trip. A nice little stop before continuing on to our destination for the night, La Crosse, WI.
