So happy that Jacky came to say goodbye. He was such a great tutor. I could not have done so well in Chinese without him. He explained things so well and he was very patient.
While we were talking, I noticed the time and said the fuwuyuan had yet to come. Jacky was nice to go to the front desk. He came back to my room and said that I actually had to go down stair with my things. When I checked out, the fuwuyuan charged me for the broken broken water pitcher. Whatever. So glad to be out of that dump.
Then, I loaded my things on the mini bus. We all were on the bus, except one person. We had to wait for that person. Terry Lu was with us because he wanted to say goodbye to Andrew at the airport. While we waited, Terry went off to get a bubble.
I got annoyed how much we had to wait then for Terry. "We should leave that fool." I snapped. Everyone laughed.
Finally, we drove to the airport.
On our ride to the airport, Terry kept touching my scarf. I snapped at him to stop.
"I just want to try it." Terry smiled.
"You are too much work, Terry." I said.
"What does that mean?" Terry asked.
"Ask Andrew." I responded
"You already knew that.' Terry then said. I kept on telling Terry no to him trying on my scarf.
Once, we were at the airport, I was so happy. I rushed to the check in counter. So happy to return to America!
My flight to San Francisco went well. I had a tv in front of me this time. So nice to watch movies!
When I arrived in San Francisco, Olivia was nice to wait for me a bit since my phone was dead. She let me used her phone to contact Sara.
My girls Sara and Mohini picked me up at the airport! So happy to be reunited with my awesome friends! We drove to In-and-Out Burger!!! So many Bay Area people at my college always spoke about it. The burger was so good and the shake too!
Having actual American food again was amazing. The food in Sanlitun was rather expensive and not as good as the real thing
That moment was great too because I was with my girls! I missed them so much. One thing that I was grateful from my study abroad experience is that I made amazing friends for life. Out of everyone in my first semester in Beijing, I mainly spoke to Sara and Mohini. We all got along well and we actually wanted to do things. Overall, people in TBC were nice, but they did not make an impression on me. I have nothing against them, but I don't see myself in staying in contact with a lot of people in my program. We just didn't click.
We went to Mohini's place at Santa Clara University. I met Mohini's roommates and they were not crazy bitches. Some of all females places I been to, I end up meeting girls with issues.
Mohini introduced her other friends from Santa Clara to Sara and me.
My jet lag was kicking in a lot. People were talking, but I was not taking part of any conversations. All I was doing was falling asleep. I really tried to stay awake.
Mohini was very kind to let me sleep in her bed for the night. She did not have to offer that since I was willing to sleep on the couch. So happy to have her back in my life.
So grateful to hang out with my amazing friends and get to vacation in California for a bit.
