In Franz Josef had lunch in village.  At 3pm we got ready to go up glacier got booted up and coats didnt need leggings as it was a lovely day.  Mick, Billy and Marie started our trek with Jonno our guide it was tough going through the rainforest then we arrived at the edge of glacier and put on our crampons the walk was quite steep in places but it was very beautiful as we got up higher.  When we reached up to some of the crevices it was quite spectacular looking back over what we had climbed. It was quite difficult but worth it when we reached our summit.

The next day I (Bridget) took the  clever way the helicopter .We landed on the glacier , the view was spectacular. I loved it . Over to Marie .
When we came back from the trek we were tired but we went out for dinner in Franz Josep a restaurant called
The Landings we recommend it

Next morning we headed out for Queenstown it was a beautiful morning, the scenery was very very beautiful all the mountains and lakes Lake Wanaka Lake Hawea and Lake Waxatipa.  We stopped in Wanaka along the way where we had a drink looking over the lake in the beautiful sunshine bliss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We arrived in Queenstown that evening and found our accomodation Queenstown lodge which we also recommend for its very helpful staff and beautiful rooms overlooking the lake.   Next day we drove out to Glenorchy where we had lunch lovely and sunny. We went up in the gondolas to the viewing point it had a beautiful view of the town and surroundings. The drink up there also tasted great because the sun was shining it was fantastic.  Discoverel an Irish bar there call Pog Mahones the guinness was great (Mick) the food was good too. We had a few lovely relaxing days there to recharge our batteries.  This morning we headed out to Te Anau Fiordland country where we are going to do Milford sound and Glow worm caves.  More soon
