    Our first full day here we jointly decided it would be a relaxing beach day....The temperature here has been 38 plus and we are living by the water.....spent about 5 hours off to the right about a mile down the beach. The water is a perfect cool temp. I can't say enough about the color of the ocean.....it is the most spectacular turquoise blue.....Sand is fine and silk like...sticking to you like glue.
    Vern and I stopped at a bar for a quick bite and had a beer with deep fried cocoanut onion rings....Very tastey..I love how they serve the cans of pop with a straw stuck in the tab to look like wings.
    Very hot, so some browsing in the shopsthen back to the room to cool off and read my book. The others went down the way and had a great lunch by the ocean
Supper for all was grilled seafood....salmon,king crab,squidand more.Then it was a long trek to fine the only open gelato bar.But worth the miles!!!
    The day ended with a fire show at SLINKYS...Several performers with fire sticks and fire balls on ropes.The best was the guy that managed all this while standing on a tightrope...Talented group.
    The Thai people are so very polite .Always with a thank you "kop kune ka"with their hands in prayer pose.Its so very sweet.

These are wonderful pictures, Jan and Vern. I am happy that some of our friends are enjoying something other than the snow-filled winter we have had. As I write this, I am looking out at about 3 feet of snow in our yard which we HOPE might be gone by about May!
