The fun and socialization of the night before was now in the past. I said my "goodbye's" and "thank-you's" to my grandpa, good friends who will always be there for me, relatives, and Tiffany's family. It wasn't as hard to say these parting words as I thought it was going to be, but that was only a temporary sensation to say the least.
The morning brought about the last bit of packing (I still don't think that I've forgotten anything!) and a quick breakfast with Tiffany and my parents. We then stuffed my junk into the trunk of the car, along with Mom and Dad's luggage for their week at Mandy's and a cooler full of leftover drinks to have with my MSOE friends. The car ride to Woodbury where we had to drop Tiffany off was a quiet one. And once we got to her house, as much as I would have liked to stay with her there saying goodbye, I knew that the longer we waited, the harder it would get. A big hug and long kiss would have to suffice for the time being...
