Another Rick Steves-inspired busy day :)
10:30 am - took a guided tour around the City Hall, famous for hosting the annual Nobel Prize banquet.
12:15 pm - watched the change of guard ceremony near the Royal Palace. The ceremony is very lively and colorful, but it was raining pretty hard, which spoiled the experience. The guards were running around, barking commands, the band was performing marches, the whole thing lasted over 30 minutes. That's a pretty elaborate change of guard ceremony :)
1 pm - lunch at an Irish pub
2 pm - toured the Royal Armory, which has an impressive collection of ceremonial arms and armor, including kids' armor and costumes. There's also a rocking bed where the royal offsprings slept for the past 300 years.. And it will be taken out of the museum and used again, if the crown princess, who just got married, has a child :)
2:30 pm - followed Rick Steves's self-guided tour through the old town, Gamla Stan.
4 pm - guided tour at Nobel museum, very interesting! The museum has portraits of all Nobel prize winners, sliding around on the ceiling. I wish I could be in that list, but they don't have Computer Science prize, unfortunately :)

Then I continued walking around the Old City as well as the newer parts of Stockholm. By 6:30 pm I got too tired and returned to the hostel, where I took a nice relaxing sauna and a cold shower :)
Now I'm getting ready to leave tomorrow morning. First I'm flying back to Helsinki, then taking the plane to Toronto.

See you soon, everyone, and thanks for reading the blog!

THE END! (of this year's trip :) )
