The Schiphol Airport of Amsterdam deserves a special mention. It is so large, they made a map of time it takes to travel by foot between locations :) It would take about 40 minutes to cross from an entrance of the Lounge 1 to the Lounge 4, even using the moving sidewalks! Even though the most recent departure hall was completed in 1994, some employees have no idea that it exists!

The 7-hour flight to Amsterdam was quite pleasant even in the cramped seats of Boeing 777. The Royal Dutch Airlines (KLM) has an interesting innovation in their planes: an interactive system, providing the fliers with a choice of movies (both new and old), TV programmes (mostly old), games (mostly boring) and a live feed from the plane's GPS, showing the current location, speed, height of the plain and the remaining time.
