We had a wonderful Thanksgiving - our turkey and all the trimmings came out perfect, and we enjoyed having our old friend, John, here to enjoy the feast with us.   We were lucky enough to enjoy another feast on Saturday, when we were invited to join our friends Pam and Scott  (John's daughter and son-in-law) for a wonderful afternoon and evening of great food, fun times, and fine wine!
Unfortunately, the flies we mentioned in our last entry have NOT seen fit to let the cold weather limit their activity - it's just made them all the more persistent about getting INside, making our days miserable, despite Greg's excellent skills at using the old fashioned fly swatter and our "Executioner" electric fly swatter!
We decided after a couple of days of dealing with the flies that the back part of the park, which is further away from the dairy farm, might not be as thick with them, so we moved.  Instead of having water birds to take pictures of, there are beautiful sunsets here at this end of the park.  Unfortunately, the flies, although not coating the place, are still a real bother, so we've scheduled another change.  On Monday, December 3rd, we're going to move to our "old standby" RV Park in Redlands, California, where we lived in our motorhome the last five months we were working.  We were planning to be there for one week in December, but we're going to stay there for an entire month.  Although it's a smaller park, without the amenities of our membership preserves, we know it's clean and safe and it's very close to our friends and doctors and shopping - so it will be a good change.
Something else new and different - it's raining today!  It hasn't rained in this part of the world in quite some time, so of course the local news is full of "Storm Watch" stories!
