A long drive on another top-down-kind-of-day brought us to the lesser-visited North Rim of the Grand Canyon. From the North Rim you get a greater sense of the width, and not as much of the straight-down depth that you experience on the South Rim. The North Rim also seems less developed, more "raw" - with many unfenced, unguarded overlooks - breathtaking not just for the view, but for the fear factor, as well!
It was a 2 1/2 hour ride up there, and a little longer coming back because we stopped for a bit to eat, so we're both kind of tired tonite and I'm not up to writing much else, but just wanted to get a quick entry in. I've taken over a thousand photos the last three days, so have a lot to go through before I find the ones worthy of uploading here!
