We left Carson City, Nevada this morning and wound our way back up, around, and back down through the Sierra Nevada Mountains and ElDorado National Forest. Once again, we got up above 8,000 feet, saw some snow (including a ski slope near Lake Tahoe), and we are now settled at our Thousand Trails Russian River Reserve, at a sedate 333 feet above sea level! We'll only be here until Friday, when we'll move on to the Redwood Coast, so thre's a lot we want to see tomorrow, including one of only three "old faithful" geysers in the world, lots of wineries to choose from, and the Charles M. Schulz (Peanuts!) Museum is something I'd love to see, too.
Since we've got a fairly decent signal, I think I'll try to go back and upload some of the "past due" photo collections, as soon as I've placed today's map pin!
