Whew - a long day and fairly hard drive for Greg, as we wound down, up, and back down again through the Sierra Nevadas from the Yosemite area into Carson City, Nevada. The route we started out on (Highway 4 from Sonora, CA), had a "Pass Closed" sign posted soon after we got on it, so, in his always calm manner, Greg drove along the twisty road until we came to a circle drive we could get into and back out of to go back and find another route. As it was, Highway 88, which we ended up taking, took us up above 8,000 feet, with lots of snow all around us - just not on the roads. It was very pretty, but I think we'll enjoy it one of these days when we get back on a boring, straight highway for a while!
Nice to have a good aircard signal again - but right now, it's bedtime, and we're meeting my old friends Nancy and Wayne at their house for breakfast tomorrow, so will be getting up earlier than our normal, lazy 8:30 or 9! So, it's that famous old promise - pictures soon!!
