Partying and Four-Wheeling at Pismo Dunes

It's a city on the sand! Thousands of motorhomes, trailers, and tents, each with multiples of people, dirt bikes, and four-wheeler ATV's! We parked our motorhome in an RV Park about a mile from the Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area, but our friends Rick and Diane, their families, and thousands of others park their rigs and make their home right there on the beach for the Presidents Day Weekend!
We ate lots of great food, drank a few adult beverages (mmmm - strawberry banana daiquiris!),
played Old Maid and Uno with the kids,
watched the first weekend of Nascar Racing from Daytona (with the ocean as a backdrop to the TV!),
rode the quads for miles through the dunes,
saw beautifully breathtaking sunsets,


and in general, had a BALL!
A weekend we won't forget soon - thanks to Rick and Diane for including us in their Presidents Day Weekend Tradition!
