Spending five days here at our membership park, right next to Yuma.  Catching up on laundry, and yesterday we went across the border to Algodones, Mexico - a town filled with mostly American-trained dentists in spotlessly-clean, very modern dentist offices.

We both had dental exams and had our teeth cleaned by a dentist whose advanced classes were at Loma Linda University in Southern California (we used to live there!) - for a total cost of $80!! (Our dentist in Southern California had offered us a "special" cleaning price of $300 for both of us!)  We also had free eye exams while we were there, as they're known for their excellent service and prices on glasses, too.  Unfortunately, my Rx is so complex that they couldn't produce my glasses as quickly as they usually do (their norm is a few hours), and, because they would have had to send the Rx to a lab in the States, it wasn't any cheaper, either, so now I know for sure that my prescription has changed, but will still have to get new glasses made.

It's been nice and warm here - tomorrow - we head close to our old neighborhood in Southern Cal.
