After a much longer than usual drive yesterday (~8 hours/400 miles), we made it to our Thousand Trails Park in Wilmington, Ohio  (I believe I mentioned when we stopped here a few years back, that I lived here in Wilmington for six months, in a little trailer park not far from here, when my ex-husband was stationed at the Nike Missile site here.  It was during this time that I substitute taught Kindergarten in nearby Washington CourtHouse, Ohio.)  The area sure does look different than it did back then, though!
We had some rain, on and off yesterday, and again today, but nothing to write home about!   The drive yesterday was mostly pretty, trees were budding out much of the way, although the leaves weren't as fully opened as what we'd been seeing in North Carolina.  At one point, in West Virginia, we were surrounded by winter-brown woods, without even a hint of green, but realized shortly after commenting on it that we were at 3,000 feet altitude, where it had undoubtedly remained colder than the rest of the areas we'd been driving through.
Sat outside with our wine after dinner last night, watching a couple of robins doing a tag-team act, one sitting on a nearby tree and watching the nest, while the other went to find some food.  Couldn't see any babies in the nest yet, as it's high up, and would be surprised if they'd hatched this early, but the robins sure are acting like they've got little ones to feed and protect.
I've got a lot of pictures to post, but we have not had very good signals these last couple of weeks, and whenever I try to do something that requires a good, fast signal, it drops off completely, so I'll just have to wait.
