Greg's youngest daughter, Jessica, and her husband, Tom and our Grandson, Zach drove down from Denver to spend the weekend with us here, so we rented a pontoon boat for a couple of hours today and had an absolutely perfect day cruising around the
Blue Mesa Reservoir - the largest lake in Colorado. This is the lake that you'll see in most of the pictures I've taken from our campsite - it's across the road from Blue Mesa Ranch Resort where we're staying. It was a beautiful day, and the frequent afternoon winds that we've had did NOT appear, so it was easy for Zach to help his Grandpa drive the boat, and for Zach to learn to cast his fishing line. Unfortunately, no fish took an interest in the corn that he was offering, but he had a ball, anyhow...as did the rest of us!
After the boat ride, we grilled burgers and dogs back at our place, and had a birthday cake for Jess, whose birthday is Monday. all in all - a perfect day!!
