Yesterday (Tuesday), we left Longmont and Jess, Tom, and Zach (Keri flew home Monday night late), and "moved house" through the mountains (we were up as high as 11,400 feet at one point!) on a beautiful 4 1/2 hour drive to Gunnison. We're set up at Blue Mesa RV Resort, just west of the town of Gunnison, and the view is beautiful!
No big plans while we're here the next couple of weeks - this is the beginning of our "wind-down" phase of the year, moving slowly, using less fuel, and utilizing our membership campgrounds so we can stay at nice resorts without spending any additional funds on camping. We'll probably explore nearby National Parks and Recreation Areas (Black Canyon of the Gunnison and Curecanti) , and Jess, Tom and Zach do plan to drive out and spend one weekend here with us.
