Thousand Trails Chesapeake Bay Preserve

  We drove about 3 hours this morning, on some VERY narrow two lane (or less!) roads for the first 45 minutes, until we got on I-95 - at the intersection with I-95, there were dozens and dozens of trucks, reminding us how close we are to the Port of Norfolk. 
   We're settled into our site here in Gloucester, Virginia at the Thousand Trails Chesapeake Bay Preserve, The campground is along the banks of the Piankatank River, but the sites along the river are a bit smaller, so we're about 4 rows back from there.  If we leave our front drapes open, I can just get a glimpse of the water!  We're hoping to go to Williamsburg one day, and maybe do some more sightseeing while we're here.  On Friday, we're going to Richmond International Speedway (an hour away), where we'll see Nationwide and Cup Qualifying, and the Nationwide race.
