Thousand Trails Peace River Preserve

We moved house this morning to our our membership campground, Thousand Trails Preserve at Peace River, and soon after getting set up and having a bite of lunch, we hopped into the car, and headed toward Tampa International Airport, where Keri caught a late afternoon flight back to Boston. Just before you get to TPA, there is a VERY unique and beautiful causeway/bridge, called the Bob Graham Sunshine Skyway Bridge, which spans Tampa Bay. After a bit of research, I learned that the bridge is the world's longest "cable-stayed" bridge.

The weather was threatening as we approached the airport, and it was pouring as we left, but I managed to take quite a few pictures of the bridge, anyhow, as I thought it was so interesting in its design. I've really enjoyed seeing and crossing the many causeways and bridges in this area - each is quite unique in its own way.
