Greg's oldest daughter, Keri, arrived at Tampa Airport Thursday evening, and this morning we "moved house" from Pat's Place to Ft. Myers Beach, Florida - about a 3 hour drive.  After getting the home set up, we headed out to Lee County Hammond Stadium - home of the Minnesota Twins.  We had seen online (and had been looking for weeks) that the games this weekend against the World Champion Boston Red Sox, were all sold out.  But last week on a hunch, I just called the Twins Ticket Office, and  found that some excellent seats (in row 9 behind the Red Sox Dugout) had just been turned back in, and I got tickets for the three of us for tonight's Home Opener, and for Saturday afternoon's game - both against the Red Sox, which of course, is Keri's team.
We had pretty much decided we weren't going to make it to the Sunday afternoon game, which is at City of Palms Park, home of the Red Sox, and also being played against the Twins.  But I just called and found out that the Red Sox Club had just turned in a block of seats, so Keri and I will get to see the Red Sox Spring Training Stadium on Sunday- with even better seats (the second row behind the Twins Dugout, so we'll be looking at the Red Sox Dugout!).  Greg decided that two days of baseball was enough for him, and he'll stay home to watch the Nascar Race on TV.
The weather is BEAUTIFUL - going up to the mid-80's today, and cooling off just enough in the evening.  It's especially enjoyable when the stadium announcers remind us that it's in the low 20's back in Minnesota and in Boston, with snow and sleet and other miserable stuff!
