Check out the name of the town we just went through! Gotta love Texas! We left our membership campground in Lake Conroe later than usual this morning - since there were tornado watches, severe thunderstorm warnings, and predictions of large hail and high winds. We think it's staying ahead of us now - we waited out the worst of it.
Did just have a scary moment or two, though, when we came over a hill to see a light turn red in front of us. The pavement was just wet enough that we couldn't stop - fishtailed our way through the red light - thankfully, the traffic saw what was happening, and stayed in place 'til we cleared the intersection...also thankfully - Greg is SO good at keeping his head about him in these situations.
Well, I guess I spoke too soon - just started raining HUGE drops, and the sky is black - think we'll be in and out of it most of our four hour drive to Lafayette, Louisiana.
Went out for Texas BBQ last night - took a picture of the sign on the wall that I'll post - it just seemed to capture the essence of the place (sorry that the picture's a bit blurry - I used my phone camera!).
