Yesterday afternoon, we drove out to Orange County to South Coast Repertory Theater, where my Cousin Amy is performing on stage in an extremely moving, very charming play called "A Feminine Ending."
Written by Sarah Treem, (a young playwright), it does a beautiful job of capturing the many facets of relationships, young and old...and the decision-making processes that go into those relationships, especially from a woman's viewpoint. It was so well acted and directed - we are so happy we got over there to see it. Afterwards, Amy and the director, Tim Douglas, who is an old friend of Amy's from Yale, met us at the Claim Jumper across the street for dinner, and we watched part of the Green Bay/Giants game, which was an unfortunate ending to a great day! It was fun to meet Tim, too - and we're hoping we may meet up with him again on our travels - perhaps in the Berkshires this summer, where he'll be performing, instead of directing, at Shakespeare and Company.
