What I did
We've been to Childress' museum in the past, and thoroughly enjoyed the many hours we spent there looking at Dale Earnhardt's cars, videos of races past, and even many of Richard Childress' trophies of his hunting prowess, but we hadn't ever been in the race shops before.
Our first stop was at the truck shop, but they were closed for a team meeting, so we went over to the Nationwide, and Sprint Cup shops, and then came back to the truck shop later. It's always a treat to see these professional, sparkling clean shops where, every week, cars and trucks are disassembled, rebuilt, and re-assembled, and yet the shops gleam like a tv chef's kitchen!
