On Friday, April 7th, we left Florida, stopping for a couple of nights in Unadilla, Georgia, which is about a half hour from Macon. Our reason for staying more than one night here was a plan to go to a small dirt race track nearby. Alas, the weather once again foiled dirt track plans - the first rain we'd seen since sometime last year in California turned out to be a big storm - thunder, lightning, downpours, and tornado watches all day Saturday. Luckily, no more than that, and the good news was that a full day indoors provided plenty of opportunity for updating our Travelpod (and ALMOST beating Pat in an online Scrabble Game!)
So, here we are on the road again - just driving through Atlanta, and on our way to our Thousand Trails Park in Natchez Trace, Tennessee - a couple of hours from Nashville - where our friends Ruth Ann and Frank are waiting for us. Word from Ruth Ann and Frank is that there are no cell signals at Natchez Trace, so we may be incommunicado for a few days. We'll stay there until Wednesday, when we'll move both motorhomes (Malone's and ours) to the infield of Nashville Motor Speedway. Next Saturday is an ARCA and a Busch Race there, and it should be great fun to be in the infield. Once again (like in Daytona) we have Ruth Ann and Frank's son J.P. to thank for getting us a great infield opportunity! There will probalby be LOTS of pictures to share after next weekend - and from there, we're heading back toward Charlotte, where we'll spend the following weekend at a big race at The Dirt Track at Lowe's Motor Speedway, while staying at one of our membership parks near there.
Time's getting close to bringing Rose's Mom into Myrtle Beach, which reminds me that we need to post our updated itinerary - will try to get that done before we lose our signal!
Had a couple of storm pictures and one of downtown Atlanta that I was going to post with this entry, but just remember that I haven't uploaded them from the camera yet, so will skip that for now!
