Traveling from Gulfport, Mississippi to Florida was quite an eye opener - we saw an entire section of concrete causeway (bridge-like highway) that had been moved by the storm surge. We saw a large boat laying in a front yard, far from the water. Empty billboard frames stood like giant skeletons along the highway, with tiny pieces of trash, sometimes recognizable as pieces of the signs that once were there.
I'm adding this short update in order to post a few pictures of the area, and also to adjust our map pins so that it doesn't look as though we traveled on water, rather than on land through the Gulf Coast area.
