* Woke up to rain and then it rained on and off all day
* Got told about a "hyaena home" by a waiter at Shingwedzi so although it was the opposite direction to my initial plans, I headed north to check it out. Turns out it was a birthing den! One hyaena on the road and after sitting with her for about an hour, her cub came out of the den. I stayed for about a total of an hour and a half before heading off towards the gates. Some people at sightings though - a guy trying to get past me nearly drive OVER the den hole. Idiot! And then this van was taking photos and kept getting closer and closer and she was very obviously upset with them (scared visual signals but not to growling point).
* Supposed to go out of Phalaborwa Gate but because there weren't too many sightings (aside from gazillions of chameleons again) I made good time and decided to go out of Orpen Gate (and via Satara and then drop in at Hoedspruit to get my watch fixed!)
* Fish eagle fishing
* 4 ground hornbills being pestered by an immature martial eagle (though it was an osprey initally but too dark in the end)
* Driving back on the main roads, I got beeped a few times and ended up having a tail going thorugh the road works because I actually folowed the speed limit (it's not a common thing here...) But I made it home safe and sound!
