But in terms of stuff I’ve been doing aside from that, yesterday, R and I went to Zebra Plains to try to spot the zebra and giraffe. There are concerns the herd of 8 has lost one of the zebra because in the last week, others have only seen a herd of 7. So unless the herd of 6 gained an extra we’re a little worried for it. (Apparently one of the 8 was pregnant so if anything we should be seeing 9, so this is even more concerning.) The giraffes are also not spotted too often so if we saw them we were to count them too. We set ourselves up on top of the hill and looked into the valleys trying to spot them but after 3 hours – nothing. So we spent our last half an hour looking in a different area then headed back for lunch before going over to the Eastern Line to check fences. We got back just before a storm hit, and that lasted all night. It’s cooled everything down dramatically and it’s the perfect temperature right now. (Though the clouds are stopping the little mobile reception I have so I can’t even get a text message out.) Today is also my day off so I’ve spent all morning cleaning the kitchen/ lounge cabin. My OCD can relax *sigh* but I’ve left the fridge, I’ll tackle that one next week… if I’m still here. For the rest of the afternoon I think I’ll watch a nice Chick Flick to get the mood back up a little.
