Well I finally made it off the island. I am officially "on vacation," or whatever you want to call it. Staying with grandma and grandpa has been great. I feel like I've never really gotten to spend any time with them 1 on 2, and this has been a great opportunity to talk.

I spent the day perusing the collector's guide to snuff bottles, and laying out in the sun--Im afraid I may have gotten a bit of a burn, though it feels like it might be gone by tomorrow. The weather was nice enough to go swimming today, so Clayton, Ginger, Grandma and I played in the pool while grandpa smoked his cigar on the sidelines.

Lydia is coming tomorrow which will be nice; I havent seen her in a while, and I feel like I could really use some of her energy right now. I really should be de/re-packing, as I brought a bit too much stuff to haul around for 5 months, and Clayton is leaving tomorrow after popovers. On that note, Im going to go outside and procrastinate some more.
