So we are on our last trip on the Hana highway heading to the airport.
As we leave we realize that we saw our first cop on Maui. Everyone has been so nice and hospitable except for one local near Lindberghs grave.
This island is so different than Oahu. Oahu has alot of parks all around the island since they have nice sandy beaches. They also grow pineapple and all we see here is sugar cane.
Maui has the mountainous forest side all around Hana and then past there you get into the more barren side of Mt. Haleakala and then the grazing area. The west end is mountains with the rain forest with most of the resorts on that end.
We decided to get an earlier flight so we would not get in so late to the Big Island so 35 minutes later we were landing.
We checked into our condo and it is a lot different than what we had the last 4 nights...we have TV and cell service BUT NO AC....
