We left Sundance with 50degree rain.  We kept waiting for it to pass but it never happened.  Poor Terry had to get out in the rain and hook up the car by himself (I can't get my boot wet, isn't that a good excuse).

We arrived at our new spot just south of Little Big Horn.  What a beautiful view and breeze.  We even had the air off and windows open.  One thing I have to say about Wyoming and Montana...the flys love the states.  I thought we had it bad in Florida but these are around all the time.  We drove up to a nearby town, Hardin, to see their local museum that has local memorbilia back from the turn of the 20th century which include old motor lodges, barns. one room school houses and other stuff.

The area we are in probably for a good 100 mile square is a Crow reservation.

On Monday we went to the Little Big Horn battlefield.  It is just unbelieveable that history was right in this place.  They errected a monument 5 years after the battle and moved all the 200+ dead soldiers in a common grave under the monument.  There are markers all over the area that marked where the soldiers had died (The men who buried the dead stuck teepee sticks in the ground and put a bullet cartridge on top with a piece of paper in it with their name).  It appears there is a lesson to be learned...don't irritate the other officers.  Seems there were two other officers and their regiments on the other side of the hill that may have been able to save Custer and his troops but they were not big fans of Custer.

We were ocassionally having problems with the motorhome starting so Terry decided to change the starter in the motorhome before we journeyed on to Yellowstone.
