Spend the day in Tagaytay today. It's about an hour from Alabang, where we are staying. It's around the south end of the island. It started out to be a nice day and it was Derek's Birthday. Gloria (someone we work with) and her family was very kind to get us out of our flats and showed us around Tagaytay.

Tagaytay is a favorite spot in the Philippines for the view and the nearby active Taal volcano. We didn't plan to go across and explore this time around but we may try again later.
We walked around the area to the market area. Like Hong Kong, there were lots of fresh vegetables and fruits for sale, and of course the butchery was nearby too. Yum.

We also stopped by a popular park and picnic area but we didn't stay long because it started to rain. All in all, it was nice to finally get out of our old routine of work and sleep. Hopefully, we can do more of this later on.
