We left our cozy Walmart parking lot at 10am and other than stopping for lunch we drove all the way through Ohio and just barely into Indiana where we found a great KOA here in Richmond. We have had an almost unbearably hot day travel ling and I cannot tell you how great it felt to jump into the pool here ! We have a great spot with some of my favorite large trees and buzzing grasshoppers in them to create that lovely evening serenade ! I just got back from a paddle boat ride with the kids as they have a tiny lake here that you can either paddle around on or fish out of. The sun is barely dipping beyond the corn fields and the breeze is just barely cooling off. I discovered I have a problem with 1 of my jacks sticking under the RV and I need an oil change so we will take some time tomorrow to attend to some "housekeeping" . Southern Ohio was absolutely lovely with huge sprawling farms of hay, corn or some kind of bean. The farmhouses are huge and well tended so it looks like things are fairly OK in Ohio ! I took route 50 all the way across and it was not just a secondary highway, perhaps a third ! Anyway, it was beautiful and allowed us to see towns etc that you do not see from the big routes ! Coralyn was my navigator today (well, her and my GPS girl whom I have come to have affection for !) and we kept saying how beautiful Ohio was and we didn't expect that ! I thought it would be more like Minnesota but there are way more hills and trees. What a blissful picture lays before me from this chair as I see Morgan and Olivia on the boat, Angus and Coralyn on the dock and Andrew is on the swing ! You love to end the day like this ! I am having twinges of homesickness as I think about my garden coming in and the young chickens beginning to lay and all the other reports that Bob gives me when I call home. Of course, most of all I miss him ! The kids are even getting excited about getting home and starting new projects and subjects that they have in mind for schooling. The last few days on the road have been great chances for all of us to think and goal set. How often do you get to sit for 8 hours and just think !!? Anyway, we still have lots of exciting things to see ahead of us so we won't get too caught up in thinking about home yet !

Beautiful writing style!
I love your writing style, it's great. I can just smell the hay and see the hills that you are describing. Ohio definitely is lovely, thank you for sharing!
