What a day! Today we we got a earlier start than yesterday, still we could've left earlier. We left Lake Mead and headed for Grand Canyon. On the way we drove over Hoover Dam (on the border of Arizona and Nevada) , it was awesome, You could walk over the Dam wall but we just had time to drive over. The Scenery was unique in it's own way, it was beautiful and rocky, dry and a bit like a  desert with mountains. We also drove to Lake Mead Lookout………only in America they call "lookout" "outlook"------back to front  :) it was a great view of the massive lake, we took a family picture here….. :)

Lake Mead Outlook and Hoover Dam were great but we still had 4 more hours of driving till we reached Grand Canyon. While driving we noticed the scenery changing, and the cold increasing……….our highest point above sea level was 5000 ft…….yep, Pretty High. The scenery was turning more beautiful every minute, the trees were turning a gorgeous gold, Then when we were closer to Grand Canyon, which I thought was SUPER cold  (Your probably saying "Well if you think that's cold, imagine how cold it's going to be in Minnesota!)  the trees turned into beautiful green pine trees, they were amazing. Also on our way we saw our first patch of snow, it was a super small patch, but it was snow.  :)

Anyway, after getting lost trying to find our way to our campsite, we arrived here at The Grand Canyon, although our plan was to see Grand Canyon today, but we arrived to late (as usual!) and had to go straight to the campsite and will have to view this massive canyon in the morning.

Other than that, there hasn't really been much going on today…..looking forward to seeing the Grand Canyon tomorrow though. oh, and I forgot, I had my first cup of tea that I've had in ages (well it seemed liked ages!) it was sooooo good to taste a drink that I know. :) Speaking of tea, Do you know that Americans don't use kettles……weird….so my Aunty had to send us one……..she also had to send us a whole box of  9x snow pants,9x snow jackets,18x mittens and so on. If Uncle and Aunty reads this, Thankyou soooooo much for helping us get organized! you have been a great help to us! Thankyou also to everyone else who has helped us get on our way! :)
