The formula of helping remained the same. Ian and I would have an English class and then I would take the older children for an art and craft lesson. The theme today was the World Cup and Ian had prepared a chart for them to fill. First thing was painting the flags of all the countries participating. By now we were beginning to remember names and the children were calling us 'professor' with Edie telling them that that’s ‘mummy’.
Jana came with us to the travel agency to look at excursions and had planned her week with visits to the islands in Lake Nicaragua a trip to Ometepe, which is the island in the middle of the lake with one active volcano and one dormant, and a walk up Mombacho volcano.
