We had breakfast in one of the other restaurants, Amaya.  Here we were treated to many choices from a Dominican Breakfast, fried cheese, fried salami, corn mush and eggs, to classics such as fresh fruit and yogurt.  We had the best view of the mother duck and her 7 ducklings right under our balcony.  They were a favorite of all the guests.
We were greeted by Juan, Fernando and Enrique ( does that man ever go home?)  Again, great service and great food. A nice touch was the daily news from the US to read with coffee.
Our biggest dilemma of the day was which chaise lounge to pick.  Beach or pool, pool or beach.  Touch choices, but the beach won out.  Not once in our entire stay did we need to rush down to reserve chairs for fear of not having one later.  There was always availability.
I read 4 books in 4 days.  I'm lucky I didn't develop bedsores from being horizontal so long. Oh well.  Jolina soon learned that my name was Caroleena (only pronunciation they could manage)  This meant that each time she would criss cross on her route to and from the bar, Caroleena would have a Mojito.  Someone has to do it.
On Saturdays, they put on a wonderful beach barbeque/buffet with lobsters, steaks and other wonderful choices.  We ate at the third restaurant, Fork, after my husband said "Caroleena, you HATE buffets, let's go to Fork".  Truer words have never been spoken.  Give me dirt on a plate, but please don't make me go and get it.
My children will attest to the fact that I somehow manage to make a scene where ever I go.  Either by falling, tripping, dropping, breaking or spilling. This evening was no exception.  We were in the all white, elegantly designed Fork restaurant where I successfully managed to save my wine glass from completely tipping over. In the process, however, I jettisoned red wine across the table cloth onto the floor and beyond.  Way to go C Dawg.
