We were taken to the palace of the Prince-Bishop.  It reminded me of a smaller version of Catherine's palace in St. Petersburg, where one room flows into the next, each one more opulent.

The temperature is in the 40's and windy.  Prior to our trip all sources indicated it would be in the 50's and 60's.  Oh well.

Last night there was dancing to the music of Sasha- a Bavarian born, one man band who's English sounds like one run on sentence with no chance of being understood.  Blessedly, there is some recognizable tunes. Shuls is a dance machine.

We stopped on the main bridge at a cafe with a fire blazing and had coffee. We then returned to the ship for our optional excursion to Rothenburg.  A Unesco site that is a completely walled in Medieval village from the 12th century. We had lunch at a quaint Italian restaurant, the owner from Naples.  Best food of the trip!

This town is known for cuckoo clocks and Christmas shops.  Everywhere there were beautiful shops and quaint cafes.  I would return to this town in a minute.  Our guide, Victoria, was enamored with the color orange. "From her head down to her toenails". She was
originally from Columbia and felt the need to tell meaningless jokes and teach drinking songs.

We had local german beer on the return bus trip, you wouldn't see that in the US.

After dinner we went to the lounge to participate in a trivia game.  We lost.  No surprises there. The big surprise was a woman who is 77 said she would pole dance and she DID!  Hysterical.  Who knew this crowd could get so rowdy.
