You have probably heard rumors about how rude the French are. Well... the week isn't over yet- but so far we have experienced only a few rude, pushy women. One actually pushed in front of us in line today. And then smiled at us. But they aren't all like that. The lady at the panini shop was really sweet and I am sure we will find more that pleasantly surprise us. Perhaps we will come back with a changed perspective..
One of the best things about Paris is the food. I have heard that time and time again and I just assumed that I wouldn't be experiencing that since we didn't choose the Paris on $1000/day tour. We are on budgets, so fast food is our gig. Surprisingly it has worked out very well for us. Craig and Sami had discovered the panini on their last trip here and we continue that tradition. Fast food never tasted so good. Grilled chicken pieces and brie and some other mystery cheese melted on a toasted baguette. WOW! Anyway- it must be time for dinner.
Well, this evening, we wraped our swollen feet in clean socks, put on our warmest coats and headed out to - I don't know if I can even say it- climb more stairs - at the Arc de Triomphe and walk along the Champs Elysees. We had a lovely dinner at McDonalds and enjoyed the view from the top of the Arc. It is midnight so I am sorry but I must close so we can all go to bed. We hope you all are doing well. Keep in touch with us. Leave a comment just so we know you guys are actually reading this. If not, let us know- more time for shopping.
Love you all! Kathryn, Craig and Sami
