Custer State Park was a lot of fun. We took the Wildlife Loop and managed to see alot of Buffalo, Donkeys, goats, deer and coyotes. The Buffalo like to cross the road in front of cars and it is just amazing how large some of those Buffalo are. The donkeys seemed to like us because we were harboring apples and granola bars. In fact I think a couple of them would have climbed in the car if they could have. We had a great time watching two coyotes stalk five deer grazing out in the field. The goats we could see from afar but they never came up to the road for a close encounter like the other animals did. On our ride out of the park back to Rapid City we encountered several lone male buffalo walking alongside the road and sometimes crossing. We also encountered a skunk so we may have to wash the car today.
