We have already been in Lee's Summit for 3 days now and I still have not written my blog for White Bear Lake, MN or Council Bluffs, IA…So here goes!

We were so excited to see old friends and also get a feel for White Bear Lake, MN as we pulled out of Sioux Falls, SD.  The trip was uneventful and we were right on time to meet up with Jane at her beautiful home.  She was gracious enough to allow us to park our home on wheels in her driveway for what followed to be a whirlwind 3 day party.

Upon our arrival, the next door neighbor who is also an RV'er accosted us.  He proceeded to give very detailed and lengthy instructions on how Todd was to un-hook and get the RV in the driveway.  Jane had previously requested that she be present when we parked and was running just a tad bit behind from a golf tournament.  So, Todd and I waited and took in the amazing details on how to run, operate and live in an RV from neighbor Jack.  We later learned we got "Jacked"!  Hahaha

Anyway, Todd backed our home in like a pro and we began our introduction to the amazing folks of White Bear Lake, MN.  The cocktails flowed the food was abundant and for sure there was no lack of friendly conversations.  Lucy broke out the Tarot cards and gave readings, Todd broke out the Hooka and everyone got tours of the RV.  We are some side show attraction!  I was disappointed later that I never got my camera out, so all photo's are compliments of Jane.  Thank you Jane for everything!

Jane had to work on Friday, so Todd and I drove into WB and picked up some tomatoes at the farmers market, had lunch @ Washington Square then took a nice trip into Stillwater, MN where we walked along the river and picked up a few cocktails at outdoor eateries.  And of course it was back to Jane's where every night was a full on party and every evening & or early morning I was grateful our home was in the driveway!

Oh, and we made plans for Cancun in February!!  Staying with the WB's in their lockout!
Sunday, we got a late start and were sad to say good bye to White Bear Lake.  It was amazing getting to know old friends better and wow the new friends we made too…

Council Bluffs, IA Wal-Mart parking lot here we come…

Smooth sailing with Todd at the helm, a quick shower and it was time for dinner with Todd's aunt's Dee & Janis & Dee's husband Keith.  Fantastic dinner and great catching up on everyone.  Can't believe how big the grandkids are getting!  The next morning, we had a great breakfast with Dee & Keith and later went to visit Todd's grandmother Charlotte.  We were very impressed with her memory and even learned some new stories.  What a nice visit!

Moving right along, we are off to Longview Lake campground in Lee's Summit, MO.  We are scheduled to check out on Sept. 7th and will have to find a new campground or location around the K.C. Area later on…

The campground is very nice and offers full hook-up sites and since this was the 5th day with no hook-up, we were in serious need for it!  Todd cleaned the RV and I started cleaning the inside.  So nice to be able to utilize the central vacuum!  Later we met up with Julie & David for a quick bite at the Peanut, said hello to Renee @ the shop and then went to bother the kids, Torre, Melissa & Nick.  Piper went to bed before we made it over…

The following day, was back to work for Todd and lots of laundry for me.  Todd got in a good bike ride and later we had a fantastic dinner of Lake Trout freshly caught by new friend Mike in MN.

This morning, I had breakfast with Renee, Ron & Bill and we are looking forward to seeing Torre & Melissa this evening!  So great to be in K.C. For a while…
